Why would Shadab Jakati be required when you have Ravindra Jadeja in the team as your most preferred left arm spinner in the squad? There seems no way the former CSK spinner could beat out Jadeja to play games consistently for the Lions. Shivil Kaushik, the Paul Adams of India, is another huge competition whom he is very unlikely to beat.
Moreover, he managed to get just 2 wickets last season. Well, we don’t intend to say he isn’t a worthy player, Jakati surely doesn’t seem like a fit in the current squad and Lions could have managed without him.
