Hashim Amla
The ‘4 overseas player rule’ may be the biggest concern for Amla. The South African has mellowed down a bit as a batsman but still carries good form in all formats. However, with players like David Miller, Glenn Maxwell, Eoin Morgan and Darren Sammy looking like must haves in the side for their hard hitting capabilities, it will be difficult to keep Amla as the overseas opener for a prolonged time.
The addition of explosive Kiwi opener Martin Guptill along with India names like Manan Vohra and Murali Vijay make it really tough for him to hold his place. Amla is a wonderful player to have any side, but the presence of such names surely make him inoperable in the squad.
