Lockie Ferguson isn’t any average cricketer. He can consistently clock over 140 and has proved his worth for his national side, New Zealand. However, the problem would arise for him when Steve Smith, the new skipper, would sit down to pick the players.
With only four overs names allowed at once, Ferguson might be neglected to some extent. With Faf Du Plessis, Mitchell Marsh Adam Zampa and Ben Stokes in the overseas’ player’s list along with domestic fast bowlers, the right arm fast bowler might end up warming the bench this season or maybe would have to be satisfied with just a handful of matches against his name.
