India’s spinner Kuldeep Yadav was not up to the mark in the recently-concluded ODI series against New Zealand. He was badly beaten by Kiwis though he picked two wickets. Thus, there are rare chances for his selection in the ODI series at home.

Also, his name is included in the forthcoming competition between Asia XI and World XI.

So, the youngster Rahul can earn up the call in the series after a remarkable performance in the domestic field.

The leg-spinner was impressive with the ball in the ongoing DY Patil T20 tournament.

Playing for Reliance 1, he bagged five wickets against Bank of Baroda as his team won the game. In 39 List A matches, he has picked 54 wickets at an economy rate of 5.12.

Rahul was given a chance in the one T20I against the West Indies when India toured the Caribbean land. He leaked too many runs and picked only one wicket.

Following this, he was dropped from the team. But, in the recent past, he has shown the potential and can be given chance in the upcoming ODI series against South Africa.
