Ajinkya Rahane

Ajinkya Rahane is undoubtedly India’s one of the finest Test players in the modern era. His batting skills, sensible strokes, and perfect balance are enough to keep him in the Test squad. On the other hand, the Mumbaikar has failed to impress everyone in the limited-overs format in past few matches. He was unable to take advantage against New Zealand, and therefore, skipper Kohli left him out of the first two ODIs against England.

Dhawan’s poor show once again proved to be lucky for Rahane, but the right-handed batsman got out by scoring just a run. His recent show with the bat clears the fact that he is unlikely to make it to the Champions Trophy squad. However, he can prove his critics wrong by doing some magic in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
