The introduction of fantasy IPL league has been well accepted by fans world-wide as the fans themselves get a chance to choose their own team, buy players with the budget available and then based on the players performance they win points. What makes the Fantasy league even more exciting is the attractive points that are available along with it.
In today’s stat which is slightly different from our other stats we will take a look at list of players with most number of points this IPL season. Players win points based on the runs scored, wickets taken, catches taken, dot balls played, boundaries hit, maiden overs bowled, dot ball bowled and almost anything that makes an impact on the match.

One of the most entertaining players this season is also on Top of the list of players to have most number of fantasy points in IPL 2015. With 965 points Dwayne Bravo, playing for CSK is leading the list. He has been a good bowler in the death over’s for CSK and his fielding has been extra-ordinary. These two things have hugely made up his 965 points as Bravo hasn’t yet made a mark from the bat this season.
Closely behind Bravo is another West-Indian all-rounder Andre Russell, playing for KKR, Russell has 900 points and has contributed hugely in the team’s victory. Russell has been good with both the bat as well as the ball for KKR and has come in as a perfect International all-rounder, replacing Jacques Kallis, who is now with the team as mentor and coach. Though comparing both players is not possible but Russell has taken the responsibility well.
Third position is held by Ashish Nehra, shockingly he is also the leading wicket-taker in IPL 2015. Nehra was under-rate at the start of this season as he has been struggling to get into the team and had injury problems. But his pace bowling has come well this season and he is comfortable placed on 3rd spot with 851 points in this season. Nehra has 17 wickets in IPL 2015. Nehra is also the only Indian player in the Top 5 list. Whereas the likes of heroes like Raina, Kohli, Dhoni, Dhawan aren’t even in Top 10.
Few players who have over-rated this season are Chris Gayle, Glenn Maxwell and Virat Kohli. Fans has great expectations from these 3 players, but have failed to deliver the way they should have and that’s one of the reason we see many new names in the Top 10 list. Gayle has just 425 points, which is less than half of the table topper , Virat is better with 565 points. Biggest disappointment is Maxwell, who has just 141 points in IPL 2015.
If we talk about popularity, it’s Ajinkya Rahane and AB de Villiers with 43% popularity, who top the table.
