Don Bradman is considered to be the best batsmen in cricket and people thought there would be no batsmen in the world that can ever overtake his records. But slowly, his records began to break; be it of number of centuries or any other. But one record that people were very sure that none could reach was his average that what few points less than a 100.
Very soon we might witness another record that was held by Bradman being broken and that too by a player to score most number of 200+ scores in a Test Inning.

As we see that Sangakkara is just one double century away to come par with the number of double centuries by Don Bradman. After getting this close to record, Sangakkara is also considering to delay his retirement for a while, as breaking a record that is held by a legend would be a great thing for any player.
Sangakkara, who had earlier announced that the 2015 ODI World Cup would mark the end of his International cricketing career might not be so true now as he is in good form now and would want to make the best out of it.
Some might call it a act of selfishness but after having served the country for so long and in the end if a player is wanting to get close to a record, that would also bring laurels to the country, shouldn’t be considered being ‘selfish’.
There are no Indians in the Top 5 but, Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar each have hit 6 200+ scores in Test Cricket whereas Rahul Dravid has managed 5.
