Ravindra Jadeja might be ruled out for the World Cup 2015, but his family has said that he is doing all possible things to be fit for the World Cup. The selectors must look at the alternative for him. Here we look at the possible replacements the country has at present.

  1. Axar Patel

Axar Patel is good all rounder. He bowls good line and length bowler. He can contribute well with the bat lower down. In the home series against Sri Lanka, Axar Patel bowled brilliantly picking up 12 wickets. He is similar to Ravindra Jadeja. He is a tall bowler and can extract bounce on the wickets in Australia and NewZeleand.

  1. Parveez Rasool

He is a player and Captain of Jammu and Kashmir Ranji Trophy team. His batting is good and is scoring vital runs in domestic cricket in the current season. He is a hard hitting batsman. His bowling is also good and is among the leading wicket taking bowlers. Though selected to represent India in 2014 he got very few chances to play for the country.  Off spinner got a chance in the ODI series against Bangladesh last year did fairly well. He is an excellent fielder but requires international exposure.

  1. Robin Uthappa

An hard hitting opening batsmen from Karnataka. His form in domestic season has been great for the past 2 years. He can dominate the opposition with his power hitting. He keeps wickets for the Kolkata Knight Riders and can be useful for the team if MS Dhoni get injured or wants to rest. He might have a chance of getting back in the team, but dim.

  1. Manish Pandey

Manish Pandey another hard hitter of the ball. He comes at number 4 for his state Karnataka and franchise Kolkata Knight Rider’s side. He plays all the shots which can surprise the opponents. He has played some vital knocks for Karnataka and Kolkata Knight Riders. He has also played for the India A side. He is an excellent fielder and can field at any position. Only limitation he is medium pace bowler but does not get to bowl regularly

With all these possibilities I think Parveez Rasool and Axar Patel are the prime contenders to replace Jadjea. Whoever comes must do the Job for the captain and make the life of the opponents tough. I only wish Jadeja himself becomes fit by the World Cup.
