Pretoria Based T20 League Announces Franchise Name and Logo

The Pretoria based T20 Global League franchise which is the capital of South Africa today officially announced their team name and logo with the squad which will sign up in South Africa’s newest exciting T20 competition. Russell Domingo will take the charge of the team as the coach while AB de Villiers who is the local boy will carry the burden of a marquee player.
Domingo is a well-known name in the coaching circuit and it was under his guidance South Africa scaled great heights. Domingo will be supported by two other fellow South Africans. While former all-rounder Lance Klusner will take up the role of a bowling coach, Neil McKenzie will be Domingo’s assistant coach.
After being handed the marquee player status for the Pretoria Mavericks, Mr. 360 De Villiers will be looking forward to a successful campaign in the new T20 league.
“Pretoria is a city close to my heart, and close to my family. I love playing at SuperSport Park. I can’t wait for the competition to get underway and the prospect of playing against my teammates and some of the world’s best players is an exciting one and I can feel the anticipation building,” said de Villiers.
The franchise namely the Pretoria Mavericks is owned and managed by Hermis Sports Venture Ltd which is a consortium between Hermis Vacations Ltd (India), Rajhans Group of Industries (India) with the SouthA African Mr Osman Osman of local events and entertainment company.
“Pretoria serves as the seat of the South African government and now, our franchise will look to establish the Pretoria Mavericks as the seat of power for the T20 Global League,” says Mr Jayesh Desai, Group Chairman, Rajhans Group.
Northerns Cricket Union President said and former Team India coach John Wright said:
“With the T20 Global League taking centre stage this summer, I am looking forward to the prospect of welcoming the Pretoria Mavericks to SuperSport Park. Having met with the owners I have no doubt that the new franchise will continue to uphold SuperSport Park’s legacy as a world-renowned family stadium.”
