Prithvi Shaw Ruled Out of One-Day Series Against Windies A

Young opener Prithvi has been ruled out of the impending One-day series against the Windies A. Shaw has been keen to partake in the much-awaited series on the Caribbean shores before he had faced yet another setback. Thus, his injury has forced the selectors to hand an opportunity to Ruturaj Gaikwad.

The 22-year-old Pune-based top-order batsman Ruturaj has already represented Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Over the years, Gaikwad had played a significant role in the domestic fold while impressing selectors with his brilliant show.

Gaikwad will be a part of India A which will begin their tour next week. Also, the tour is comprised of five one-day fixtures.

The 50-over series will get underway on July 11, 2019.

Besides, Anmolpreet, who’s the top-order batsman, has earned a call-up for being in good stead.
