Team India opener Prithvi Shaw has again lost his wicket cheaply on the third day of the ongoing first Test match against New Zealand in Wellington. The youngster, who is playing in place of injured Rohit Sharma, has disappointed with his batting skills at Basin Reserve in Wellington.

The compact batsman Shaw has played in a customary manner and managed to register scores of 16 and 14 in the first and second innings respectively. His early loss has affected India in the game as he failed to give a good start to the team.

Seeing Shaw’s dismaying performance, the Indian fans are suggesting to bring back his counterpart Shubman Gill in place of the former.

Gill had impressed with his bat against New Zealand A. He scored a century and double century in the unofficial Test series. However, he lost his wicket cheaply in the warmup games.

Whereas, Shaw was a bit more successful in the practice matches. Thus, Shaw got a nod ahead of his former India -19 teammate.

Now, Shaw’s poor show has led the Twitterati to urge India’s team management to replace the Mumbai player with Gill.

The youngster was dismissed by Tim Southee in the first innings while in the second innings, he fell prey to a short delivery bowled by Trent Boult.
