New Zealand opening batsman Tom Blundell will not take the field on Day three of the ongoing first Test match at Basin Reserve, Wellington. Blundell hurt his shoulder while fielding on Day three and he will now undergo assessment. He will be under the assessment for Day four too. Meanwhile, Tom Blundell had scored 30 runs from 80 balls in the first innings.

On the other hand, New Zealand has put themselves in command as they have scalped four wickets. The visitors are 115-4 and they still are in arrears by 68 runs. The Kiwis have also got the big wicket of Indian skipper Virat Kohli. New Zealand’s pack leader Trent Boult bowled from round the wicket and tested Kohli with a short-pitched delivery.

The Indian captain who has looked out of sorts on this tour went for the pull shot but got a faint edge to the keeper, BJ Watling.
