The ongoing PSL 2023 has amused the fans on and off the field.  A video caught the attention of the fans during the eliminator match between Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi. Shadab Khan surprisingly predicated the dismissal of his Pakistan skipper Babar Azam for a well-played 64 runs.

Islamabad United was eliminated from the PSL 2023 following the defeat against Peshawar Zalmi. An interesting event took place during the 13th over of the innings when Shadab Khan came to bowl against Babar and Mohammad Haris. Before going to bowl, Shadab picked up the bails from the ground, predicated the dismissal of Babar Azam.

“Babar out hai (Babar is out).” Shadab Khan said on the stump mic.

Shadab Khan has impressed everyone with his captaincy in PSL 8. Bowling the 13th over Mohammad Haris hit Shadab for a four and six before taking a single to bring Babar Azam. Shadab bowled a brilliant ball to dismiss the Peshawar skipper. Many fans were surprised by Shadab Khan’s claim to dismiss Babar the fans went insane and made match-fixing allegations about the league.

Talking about the match, Peshawar Zalmi beat Islamabad United to progress to the second Eliminator while thrashing Islamabad out of PSL 2023. Babar played a fine knock of 64, and Peshawar scored 183 for 8 in the allotted 20 overs before restricting Islamabad to 171 for 6.

Shadab Khan can also be a good option for Pakistan in the shorter format of the game as  Pakistan Skipper Babar Azam, has been facing criticism regarding his captaincy after he failed to win a single Test at home against England and New Zealand. Many former cricketers want Babar Azam to give up his leadership role in one format.
