PSL E-Tickets For Lahore Final Sold Out Like Hot Cakes In Couple Of Hours

The e-tickets for Pakistan Super League title decider were sold out in just a few just hours which is scheduled at Gaddafi stadium in Lahore as the tickets were put on sales on Wednesday.

The stadium has the capacity of 27,000 spectators since being renovated in 2005 and this has further validated the decision of Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB), the decision for holding the final in Lahore.

The desperate cricket followers turned in great numbers to the designated banks in a bid to purchase the tickets for the much-awaited final on Sunday, but were left fuming after a handful of tickets were made available which also saw few scuffles taking place among the cricket-deprived fans, according to the Dawn News.

It’s going to be the highly entertaining grand finale in Lahore after the Punjab Government gave a green signal to PCB for holding the PSL on March 5 amid the ‘five-tier’ security.

However, while taking the stock of the situation, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif told the public to maintain peace in order to make it a grand success in Lahore while lending a hand to his government.

According to the reports, some local banks had received only 10 tickets of PKR Rs 500.

The disappointed cricket enthusiasts from Punjab stated they were queued up four hours while looking for cheaper tickets at the local banks which were given the permission to sell out the tickets that ranged from PKR 500 to PKR 12,000.

“They asked us to stand in the line for Rs4,000 tickets after [the Rs500 tickets were sold out], but even those tickets were sold out shortly. Only tickets worth Rs8,000 and Rs12,000 tickets are available, which we cannot afford,” one of the fans told Dawn.

However, they would miss many international stars, but it would be its first kind of its tournament at home where other international cricketers would be featuring in their favourite teams post Zimbabwe tour to Pakistan.

It has been stated the parking would not be allowed inside 400 yards of the Gaddafi stadium following the spectators would have to go through the walk-though gates and metal detectors.

The reports also suggested the sniffer-dogs will be used to monitor the situation accordingly as men in uniform would be patrolling the area.
