Former cricketer Rahul Sharma thanked former India batsman Gautam Gambhir on Twitter for his invaluable assistance in caring for his ill mother-in-law. The illness of Rahul’s mother-in-law, who suffered from a brain hemorrhage and was in serious condition.
However, according to recent developments, the former spinner revealed that Gambhir was the one who saved her at a critical moment.
He continued by saying that the 2011 World Cup champion batsman obtained his mother-in-law the best neurologist and secured her admission to the Sir Ganga Ram hospital in New Delhi with the aid of his personal assistant, Gaurav Arora.

Rahul, who has played four ODIs and two T20Is for India, continued by stating that the procedure went well and expressing his gratitude to all those who assisted him during the delicate time.

“Last month was very difficult. My mother-in-law had brain hemorrhage, she was in critical condition. Thank you Gautam Gambhir paaji & ( his PA Gaurav Arora) who helped me in such difficult time & he provided the best neurologist and hospital in such a short time and the surgery has been done successfully. Gambhir, a BJP member from East Delhi, assisted a young Pakistani girl who needed a visa to travel for medical treatment earlier this year. The kid, whose name was Omaima Ali, had a congenital cardiac condition.
Back then, Gambhir said that former Pakistani cricketer Mohammad Yousuf had called his office and informed him of the girl’s health. In the meantime, Gambhir is serving as the Lucknow Super Giants’ head coach in the present Indian Premier League 2023.
