Yusuf Pathan (Baroda, India)
The hard-hitting Yusuf Pathan had his story to tell to the world a decade back. He was the star batsman in the Rajasthan team – piling up 435 runs in 16 matches during the inaugural edition of the league. Even against CSK, Yusuf scored a fifty – whacking three fours and four sixes in the meantime. It was 39-ball 56 which helped Royals clinch a famous win in the end. Also, he took three wickets for 22 runs in his four overs too.
Right now, the veteran all-rounder represents Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League. In the Ranji Trophy, he plays for his native state, Baroda and last played a game against Karnataka in Vadodara in January. Though his exploits are well-known to the world, Yusuf’s chances of making it to the Indian team look bleak.
