Ravindra Jadeja (Saurashtra, India)
The India all-rounder, a prodigy at that time, Ravindra Jadeja was Rajasthan’s most exciting prospect in 2008. Coming straight from India’s U-19 World Cup winning team, Jadeja had a lot on his shoulders to prove. Not impactful with either of the bat or ball in hand, Jadeja featured in 14 matches including the finale. Against CSK, he got out on the first delivery off Albie Morkel.
More than a decade later, Ravindra Jadeja has been an influencer in the India team. An ex no.1 ranked bowler in Tests; the left-arm spinner plays for Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League. In the 2018 edition of the IPL, he played 16 games – picking up 11 wickets.
