Pakistan leg-spinner Yasir Shah, in the first Test match at Brisbane, celebrated the wicket of Steve Smith by showing pointing seven fingers depicting that he has taken seven times the wicket of the swashbuckling batsman. Rajasthan Royals (RR) took the side of its captain and replied the leg-spinner’s action on Twitter.
On Saturday (30th November), Steve Smith completed 7000 Test runs in the Adelaide ground while playing the second Test match of the series against Pakistan. He surpassed Sir Donald Bradman‘s tally of 6996 Test runs and became the 11th Australian batsman to reach 7000 Test runs. The right-hand batsman became the fastest to reach this milestone.
Rajasthan Royals mocked Yasir Shah
Rajasthan Royals took Twitter to celebrate Steve Smith’s achievement and also answered Yasir Shah’s seven finger action. Franchise posted the picture of its captain and captioned the picture saying:
“My 7 is bigger than yours #AusvPak | #HallaBol | #RoyalsFamily”
RR player has a very long connection with the team. He first joined the hand with the team in 2014. Then in 2016, during RR’s two-year suspension period, he was bought by Rising Pune Super Giants in the auction. In 2018, RR got back their special cricket. Like the middle of the IPL 2019, Smith will lead the team in the forthcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020).
Steve Smith has not impressive innings in the ongoing home Test series against Pakistan. In the first Test match, the hard-hitting was out after scoring just four runs on the ball of Yasir Shah. In ongoing day-night test match at Adelaide, he got out on the first innings after scoring 36 runs. However, David Warner stood for his team and struck 335* runs.
