Rajiv Shukla , the former IPL Chairman has again  been appointed the Chairman of the IPL, ending a long delay over the matter. Earlier in 2013, Rajiv Shukla had resigned from the post after the IPL ‘ Spot Fixing ” scandal .

Speculations were being made that Sourav Ganguly, Ajay Shirke and Ranjib Biswal were the other contenders but on the given day, it was Shukla who again took away the cake. This decision though has come late, being just a day before the opening ceremony of the IPL 2015.

Sourav Ganguly is a new entrant in the IPL Governing Council, while Indian Team’s Director – Ravi Shastri – has  been retained in the IPL Governing Council.

The National selection panel, headed by Sandeep Patil has been retained for one more season and Anil Kumble has been retained as Chairman of  the Technical Committee. There were rumours that Sourav Ganguly might replace him.

Jyotiraditya Scindia heads the Finance Committee and Chetan Desai remains the Head of the Marketing Committee. Tours and Programmes Committee will be headed by Gokaraju Gangaraju.

A new committee Affiliations Committee has been made, which will be headed by Anurag Thakur and Jagmohan Dalmiya (President of BCCI) himself will head the Constitution Review Committee.
