Rangana Herath and Tharindu Kaushal decimates India at 78 for 7 at lunch
Starting the day five 23 for 1, India lost 6 wickets inside 37 run. Sri Lankan spinners Rangana Herath and Tharindu Kaushal wrecked havoc on Indian batting line up. Both of them shared four wickets and two wickets respectively. From on the verge of win, India on thier 69th Independence Day now more closer to defeat.
Now, India have only recognised batsman at the crease Ajinkya Rahane. He and R Ashwin are trying to proceed to the target of 176. Rangana Hearth added four more wickets to his tally of 5 for 37. His first victim of the day was night watchman Ishant Sharma, and the second man was Rohit Sharma, who once again failed to show resistance.
Indian still has hope, but captain Virat Kohli did not last long, he was brilliant caught at short leg by Kaushal Silva off Tharindu Kaushal. Shikhar Dhawan (27), who was looking fluent was caught and bowled by Kaushal. Wicket-keeper batsman Wriddhiman Saha was stumped by Dinesh Chandimal off Herath. Harbhajan Singh came at No 7 before Ashwin, but also failed to handle the venom of Herath, got bowled out.
