Sehwag, Gambhir put Delhi in driver seat against Maharashtra
Riding on Virender Sehwag’s 66 and skipper Gautam Gambhir’s unbeaten knock of 93, Delhi ended the day 2 of their sixth match against Maharashtra at Pune on 240/4. At the start of the day, Maharashtra lost three quick wickets and that ended their innings on 330. After coming out to bat, Delhi lost 2 quick wickets but Gambhir and Sehwag then stabilized the innings with a 103-run partnership before Sehwag fell to C.G. Khurana. Rajat Bhatia then supported Gambhir pretty well and both steadied the ship with an unbeaten 91-run partnership.
Baba Indrajith’s hundred gains a strong lead for TN
After Rahil Shah’s 7 wickets on day one, Baba Indrajith lead Tamil Nadu’s reply in batting as he scored 101 on the day 2 of seventh match against Mumbai at Chepauk. Indrajith got a great support from Malolan Rangarajan as the duo put on 130 runs for the ninth wicket and gave their team a lead of 276 runs in the first innings. In reply, Mumbai got off to a bad start in their second innings as they lost their opener Akhil Herwadkar early and finished the day on 12/1.
