In a Group A game, Karnataka posted the mammoth first innings total of 642 for seven in 180, as Manish Pandey registered his splendid double hundred against hapless Uttar Pradesh.

The right-handed batsman Pandey scored 238 in 301 balls, as his innings was comprised of 31 boundaries and two sixes.

Earlier, the top-order batsman, Dega Nischal was dismissed on 195 after facing 425 deliveries. His innings included 23 boundaries.

The 25-year-old Karun Nair registered a half-century, before being dismissed by Dhruv Pratap Singh on 62 off 123 balls.

In another Group A fixture, Delhi batsmen started off the day two proceedings with the overnight score of 260 for four in 62 overs.

The 23-year-old promising middle-order batsman Nitish Rana added another 64 runs on the second morning to see him scoring 174 off 264 balls, as he powered hosts to the first innings total of 419. Lalit Yadav struck a fine half-century to score 52 off 94 balls.

For Maharashtra, the left-arm orthodox spinner Satyajeet Bacchav saw his figures of four for 87 in 29 overs.

For Maharashtra, Nikit Dhumal is batting on alongside Chirag Khurana, who faced four balls to score three runs.

 

Group A –

Delhi Vs Maharashtra in Delhi

After Delhi-led by skipper Ishant Sharma scored 419 in 111.1 overs, Maharashtra-led by Ankit Bawne was reeling at 59 for eight in 25 overs.

Ishant Sharma bagged three wickets as Navdeep Saini and Lalit Yadav picked two wickets each.

Uttar Pradesh Vs Karnataka

At the end of the day Karnataka piled up the misery for Suresh Raina-led Uttar Pradesh.

Manish Pandey’s double-hundred and Degal Nischal’s century frustrated Uttar Pradesh bowlers in Kanpur.

The visitors were 642 for seven in 180 overs.

Assam Vs Hyderabad in Guwahati

While being forced to bat on the day two of the round five of the Ranji fixture, after visitors Hyderabad enforced the follow-on.

Assam was 36 for two in 15 overs after they were dismissed at the paltry score of 136 in 48.5 overs.

Mohammed Muddasir claimed a five wicket haul which saw him conceding 36 runs in 11.5 overs.

Group B —

Gujarat Vs Rajasthan in Surat

The reigning champions Gujarat is leading by 297 runs in the first innings against Rajasthan while riding on the century scored each by skipper Parthiv Patel (119* off 118 balls) followed by opening batsman Priyank Panchal (152 off 298 balls) and Bhargav Merai (110 off 225 balls).

Gujarat scored 450 for three at the stumps of day two in 128 overs, as Manprit Junja will resume the innings alongside his skipper.

Jammu and Kashmir Vs Haryana at Rohtak

After Haryana was 119 for the loss of seven wickets at stumps on day one in 45 overs, the hosts were bundled out for 184 in 65.4 overs, as paceman Ram Dayal completed a five-wicket haul which further saw Mohammad Mudhasir picked four wickets in an innings.

Moreover, Jammu and Kashmir skipper claimed a solitary wicket in the form of Haryana’s skipper Amit Mishra.

J&K was struggling on 175 for seven in 53 over, as they are still trailing by nine runs.

For Haryana, Harshal Patel, Ajit Chahal and Ashish Hooda picked two wickets each.

Dayal is batting on six off 15 balls alongside Aamir Aziz, who is yet to open his account after facing three deliveries.

Kerala Vs Saurashtra in Thiruvananthapuram

Saurashtra was restricted on 232 in 78.5 overs which further saw opening batsman Robin Uthappa was the top-scorer with 86 off 120 balls, as Kerala left-arm orthodox spinner Sijomon Joseph collected four wickets which saw fast bowler Basim Thampi finished with three for 36 in 11.5 overs.

In second innings, Kerala scored 69 for one in 19 overs.

Group C —

Baroda Vs Odisha in Vadodara

Odisha was 64 for two in 32 overs after Baroda post the first innings total of 503 in 137.4 overs.

After Kedar Devdhar, top-order batter Vishnu Solanki alongside Ninad Rathva smashed a hundred each.

Odisha is trailing by 439 runs in the first innings after the completion of day two.

Andhra Pradesh Vs Mumbai in Ongole

Andhra Pradesh was 74 for two in 33 overs after Mumbai scored 332 in 132 overs. After Prithvi Shaw’s hundred, Siddhesh Lad (86 off 203 balls) and Dhawal Kulkarni (50* off 134 balls) smashed the fifties each.

On the second day, Mumbai resumed its innings from 248 for six.

Tamil Nadu Vs Madhya Pradesh in Indore

Tamil Nadu is trailing by 73 runs against Madhya Pradesh. The visitors were 191 for six in 67 overs when stumps were drawn by umpires.

After starting the second day with 224 for seven, Madhya Pradesh first innings was wrapped on 264.

Group D –

Punjab Vs Bengal in Amritsar

Bengal is leading by 162 runs in first innings as openers in the form of Abhishek Raman and Abhimanyu Easwaran smashed a century each.

Both forged 222 for the first wicket, as Siddarth Kaul was the only wicket-taker for Punjab. Kaul claimed two wickets in 23 overs after giving away 84 runs.

Goa Vs Vidarbha in Porvorim

Vidarbha is trailing by 40 runs in the first innings after Goa finished its first innings on 239. At stumps, Vidarbha posted 199 for two in 91 overs, as Wasim Jaffer is batting on 70 off 229 balls alongside Shalabh Shrivastava (9 off 69 balls).

Chhattisgarh Vs Services in Raipur

Hosts’ 24-year-old fast bowler Shahnawaz Hussain bagged a five-wicket haul to restrict Rahul Singh-led Services on 272 in 90.5 overs.

On the other side, Chhattisgarh is trailing by 118 runs after scoring 24 in 12 overs without any loss.
