Vidarbha’s left-arm spinner Aditya Sarwate is on a roll in the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2018-19 edition of the premium first-class league, and by this, he has undoubtedly made his dad Anand Sarwate proud with his remarkable all-round effort. His father Anand, the bank employee had met with an accident in 1993 which left him paralysed. However, by then, Aditya was a three-year-old.

Aditya hails his mother:
The 29-year-old Aditya, who has given his best, is in all praise for his mother. Owing to an ordeal, he maintained his mother stood like a rock behind him. He also lauded the efforts of his mother who took care of her wheel-chair bound husband.
“I give a lot of credit to my mother. She took care of all my needs as well as attended to my father, who is wheelchair-bound. Whatever I am today, is because of my mother,” Mid-day quoted Aditya as saying.
In the ongoing Ranji season, Sarwate has claimed some outstanding numbers to his number. The wily customer bagged 50 scalps which include a remarkable effort by settling with a five-for in the ongoing grand finale against Saurashtra in Nagpur.
Currently, the Ranji Trophy defending champions is in good control against Jaydev Unadkat-led Saurashtra.
Interestingly, Anand knitted a dream to feature in the first-class circuit during his heydays when he represented the Nagpur University team. And now, his son lives the dream with his consistent performances. Aditya has also amassed 300-plus runs in the ongoing Ranji leg.

Aditya’s father is happy:
Aditya maintained his father thoroughly enjoyed Vidarbha’s victory in the Ranji finale against Delhi, last year.
“My father is stable now, but the head injury he suffered is beyond repair. It was his dream that I play Ranji Trophy cricket and then go on to represent India. He was so delighted when we won the Ranji Trophy last season,” Aditya added.
The star cricketer Aditya who has given his blood and sweat has cherished the wicket of Cheteshwar Pujara. Aditya added his father often watches his games on the Television and should be happy with the way I’ve had done my job so far.
“He watches all my matches closely on TV. [He] must be the happiest person in the world today after seeing his son getting the wicket of one of the world’s best batsmen,” Aditya concluded.
So far, Aditya has featured in 28 first-class fixtures to clinch 131 wickets at the impressive average of 18.81 and attributed it with ten five-wicket hauls and five four-fors. He also amassed 989 runs at an average of 31.90. The right-handed batsman slammed two tons and six half-centuries in 36 innings.
