Ranji Trophy Round 3: Gautam Gambhir fails on his return to domestic cricket! 1
Gautam Gambhir
Gautam Gambhir, the Delhi captain failed on his comeback to Ranji trophy as the left-handed opener could just score 2 runs on his comeback.

He disappointed on his return to domestic cricket which could now jeopardize his hopes of sustaining his place in Indian team as well.

Delhi had big hopes from him as Vice captain Unmukt Chand also failed & was dismissed in the very first over; his partner Gautam Gambhir had the responsibility to drive the team but he also failed thus putting Delhi in a critical situation. The succeeding batsmen also failed to face Karnataka bowlers on a fast pitch of Eden Garden as Delhi was bundled out on a paltry of 90. Srinath Arvind picked up a total of 4 wickets to topple the Delhi batting line-up. He was well supported by his senior partner Abhimanyu Mithun who picked the first wicket of the day in form of Unmukt Chand. Gowtham K also chipped in with 3 crucial wickets dismissing the in-form batsman Rishabh Pant, Dhruv Shorey and Manan Sharma.
Delhi had big hopes on Ishant Sharma but he also failed to deliver as Karnataka was in a safe position at stumps. They were on a  total of 131/3 at the time of stumps. Delhi will have a hope from their bowlers to come up with few wickets tomorrow as they may see Karnataka piling up a mountain total if Delhi bowlers fail to take early wickets tomorrow.
