After spending a dull and tired time at the crease on Day 1, Bengal batsmen continued the same flow of play, scoring 147 runs in 64 overs. Sudip Chatterjee went on to score his seventh first-class century but was soon dismissed on a score of 100. Bengal were bundled out just one run later on 337. In reply, Tamil Nadu lost the wicket of rookie Washington Sundar, who was dismissed on a score of 4. On Tuesday, the first session of the day will be quite crucial and will more or less decide the course of the game.

At one stage, Hyderabad were tottering at 141/6 before Sandeep and Mehdi Hasan propelled the team past a total of 250. After the dismissal of Hasan at 276, Milind took charge along with Sandeep and carried the team to a humongous total.
Services started off well and were at 77/0 at stumps but they need big innings from openers in order to eclipse this mammoth total.
