The dead rubber between Uttar Pradesh and Baroda ended in a tame draw as after gaining the first innings lead.

Uttar Pradesh skipper, Suresh Raina, let his players bat all day, with Baroda bowlers toiling whole day with just a little success in the bag. Starting the day with a score of 117/0, Uttar Pradesh continued their great batting adding 80 more runs for the first wicket before Alamas Shaukat missed the century by just nine runs.

Shivam Chaudhary, however, went on to score a century with former Under 19 batsman Akshdeep Nath also scoring his first century of his first-class career.

The day ended with wicket of Rinku Singh who missed the century and thus both the teams ended their Ranji Trophy campaign on a tame knot.

Kuldeep Yadav was awarded the Man of the Match award. Also, he finished his campaign as the highest run scorer and highest wicket-taker for Uttar Pradesh.

Two years back at Roshanara Club Ground, Delhi was chasing a mere target of 16 runs against Saurashtra and a wicketless chase could have assured them a bonus point to them. At that time, though Saurashtra lost the game but did not let Delhi gain the bonus point. It was the biggest upset as a bonus point is something a team strives for.
Saurashtra, who was already out of the tournament, mauled Delhi again. Delhi was in the game for about 3 and a half days before Saurashtra again pulled off something out of the box and upset Delhi by just four runs, ending their campaign and their dream to qualify for the knockouts. Delhi had a mere target of 276 in the final innings but they were bowled out for 271, despite the presence of Gautam Gambhir and Shikhar Dhawan in the team. Manan Sharma and Milind Kumar though lit up some hopes by sharing 77 runs for the sixth wicket but the wicket of Milind Kumar was enough for Delhi to pack their bags and return back home, empty-handed, again. It was the biggest of the upsets in the history of Ranji Trophy.
