Rashid Khan, Yasir Shah And Kuldeep Yadav Are My Favourites – Shane Warne
Spinner has always been the major influence in the cricketing world over the years. But, of late, the spinner category has been divided into two sections namely Wrist Spinner and Finger Spinner. However, Shane Warne believes that there are no such categories and picked his favourite spinners as Kuldeep Yadav, Rashid Khan and Yasir Shah.
Meanwhile, speaking of the spinners, Shane Warne quoted that there isn’t any special category in spin section, all it needs a good spinner. Further, he believes that the spinner should be brave enough even after being hit for a boundary or a six.
“A good spinner bowler is a good spin bowler. It doesn’t matter if he is a wrist spinner or a finger spinner. Saqlain Mushtaq, Muttiah Muralitharan, Daniel Vettori, there were so many good finger spinners in my time,” Warne said to PTI news agency.
Those three bowlers are brave – Shane Warne
Shane Warne doesn’t like defensive bowlers in limited overs cricket and that’s the reason three of his current favourites are India’s Kuldeep Yadav, Pakistan’s Yasir Shah and Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan, who are “not at all scared of getting hit”.
“The top three who I like watching and certainly I believe has an influence on (ODI/T20) games are Rashid Khan, Yasir Shah and Kuldeep Yadav. Those three are the best three going around at the moment and I really enjoy them watching the most,” the 49-year-old said.
He feels that three bowlers are not only brave enough but also got enough variety to deliver goods for the team. Further, Warne expressed that he is looking forward to watching these players in the upcoming ICC World Cup 2019.
“They are very different from each other but they get the job done. And one thing that they all do. They attack. They don’t defend and they don’t mind being hit for runs. So I am looking forward to watching these three guys going against each other in the World Cup and watching them confuse batsmen which I like to see,” Shane Warne said.
Well, much like Shane Warne, all the cricket fanatics would love to watch them in the upcoming edition of World Cup. Kuldeep Yadav and Rashid Khan have become the must-have players for their respective countries while Yasir Shah got stiff competition from Shadab Khan.
