Former Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Rashid Latif, who has played 37 Tests and 166 ODIs, has highly rated Pakistan’s current ODI and T20I captain Babar Azam. He sees flamboyant batsman above Wasim Akram, Shoaib Akhtar, Javed Miandad, Inzamam-ul-Haq, Mohammad and many other great cricketers of his country.

Babar Azam is the No. 1 T20I batsman in the ICC ranking while he is top 3 in ODI ranking. In Tests, he is among Top 10 players just behind Kane Willamson. So far, he has played 26 Tests, 74 ODIs and 38 T20Is, scoring 1850, 3359 and 1471 runs respectively.

Currently, the 25-year-old Babar is with the team in England to play the three-match Test and T20I series. The first Test will be played in Manchester, starting from 5 August. The T20I series will begin on 28 August.
Pakistan had already reached England to follow the safety protocols. They were under 14 days quarantine period and are training in Derby. The Green Army will travel to Manchester on August 1 before the start of the Test series.
