The Daredevils went through a lot of changes at the start of the campaign with the likes of Rahul Dravid appointed as the mentor for the side while Zaheer Khan was asked to captain the side even before the start of the tournament.
And it looked like the changes did work as DD looked like they would cruise into the qualifying stage half-way through the tournament. But a dip in form in the later stages of the tournament saw the side slowly slip out leaving them in search of a victory in the last group stage game against RCB. They eventually lost the game and were knocked out but it was a season to remember for the fans who were given enough entertainment throughout the competition.
