Arguably the most popular side in the competition, two time IPL winners Kolkata Knight Riders had a strange campaign this IPL.
They started off as one of the strongest outfits with the likes of Gautam Gambhir and Robin Uthappa scoring runs for fun. All rounder Andre Russel was also superb in the competition winning games single-handedly at times as they managed to qualify for the knock-out stage with a 4th placed finish, thanks to a win over SRH in the last game of the group stage.
However, they chocked and managed to lose the first eliminator at Delhi to the ultimate champions who knocked them out of the competition.
