Team India Head Coach Ravi Shastri has become highest ever paid-coach in the history of Indian cricket. Shastri has been paid an exact amount of Rs 202,50,000 as the professional fees for October 18 to 17 January 2018, which means that he has been paid advance fees as well.

Looking at the figures, it can be seen that Shastri’s salary has increased manifold. Last time, he was paid an amount of nearly 1 Crore and 20 Lakh for a period of three months while this time, he has been paid amount of more than 2 Crore, for the same period, which means that he has been paid Rs 67 Lakh per month. There is a huge surge in Shastri’s salary, which now makes him costliest ever coach in the history of Indian cricket, taking over Anil Kumble.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also distributed the prize money amount of ICC Champions Trophy among players. The 15 players have been paid an amount of Rs 38,67,703 each. Indian team qualified for the finals of the tournament, before losing out to Pakistan in the final of the tournament.

Being asked to bat first, Pakistan posted a total of 338 on the board. The Mohammed Amir led pace attack flattened the Virat Kohli led side and India failed to defend the ICC title.

Meanwhile, Bharat Arun, the bowling coach of Indian cricket team, has received his first ever salary installment. He has been paid an amount of Rs. 26,99,999. However, the salary he received is for a period of 45 days, until August and he is yet to receive his salary for past two months.
