After being reappointed as the head coach of the Indian National Cricket Team, Ravi Shastri has got a 20% hike in the salary as per various reports. Meanwhile, the Indian fans, who are always active on social media to make their voice out, trolled Shastri for various reasons.
Shastri, who was previously earning close to Rs 8 crore annually, has now been given a 20% hike. This means Shastri will now earn a salary between Rs 9.5-10 crore. Along with Shastri, Bharat Arun and R Sridhar, who were also given extensions as bowling coach and fielding coach respectively, have also been given a big increment.

Ravi Shastri to get a CTC of 9.5-10 Crores:
This is Shastri’s fourth stint with Team India having served as a Manager in 2007, as Team Director between 2014-2016 and he has been the head coach of the team since Anil Kumble stepped down in 2017.
During his tenure, Team India has been at the top of Test rankings and reached the finals and semi-final stage of Champions Trophy 2017 and World Cup 2019 respectively.
According to a report, which has shared the details of the increment, Vikram Rathour – who replaced Sanjay Bangar as the batting coach of the Indian cricket team, will start with a salary between Rs 2.5 crore to 3 crores. The Indian selectors reportedly decided to let go of Bangar after he failed to resolve India’s No. 4 conundrum.

Earlier, Ravi Shastri said that he is solely in the mix of things for the coach role is because of the talent in the Indian team at present. He wants to continue in the same manner, which yielded success for India across the formats.
“The reason why I came in here is the belief I had in this team, the belief that they could leave a legacy which very few teams have left behind which other teams going down will try and emulate,” Shastri told Bcci.tv after his appointment.
