India’s premier spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has confirmed that he went to Bangalore to take the much talked Yo-Yo test.
The test has come into the limelight in the recent months after the likes of Yuvraj Singh, and Suresh Raina failed to pass it, which has ultimately resulted in their axing from the national team.
There have been individual fitness mandates that are put in place by the board, captain, coach and selection committee. Every Indian cricketer should pass these tests to play for the national team.
The 31-year old, who has been omitted from the Australia T20I series after impressive outings from Kuldeep and Chahal, is now set to participate in the Ranji Trophy.
His tweet read: “Been a good trip to Bangalore, yo yo test done and dusted. Now #backtothegrind #RanjiTrophy2017 #teamtamilnadu”

The off-spinner who is one of the best in the longest format of the game will now have to consider his future in limited overs formats. He will need to provide his best performances in Ranji Trophy over the next couple of months and wait for an opportunity to play for India once again in limited overs cricket.
