Team India off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin is definitely one of the finest bowlers in world cricket at the moment especially in the longest format of the game. However, despite his brilliance on the field, he has hogged the limelight in the recent past more due to his famous Mankading of Jos Buttler during the IPL. What Ashwin did was totally legal but is often regarded against the spirit of the game.

He received mixed reactions after his act. While some defended it as they felt something legal cannot be deemed against the spirit of the game. Meanwhile former players like Shane Warne, Erapalli Prasanna, Jason Roy, Dale Steyn and many more for his act. Meanwhile, he was also trolled heavily on social media circles following the incident.

Meanwhile, the Mankading has again come into the limelight after a fan decided to take a dig at the Indian off-spinner. However, his wife came up with a witty reply which literally muted the troller. The scenario started when Ashwin Foundation posted a message for their Talent Hunt Programme with a caption, “All set to kickstart #GennextTalentHunt. Lots of children around waiting to showcase their skills. @prithinarayanan @ashwinravi99 @gennextcricket”

Meanwhile one of the fans wrote that in order to be eligible for selection, Mankad is a must. “Note: Selection process based on “Mankad” skills shown by bowlers. Batsmen selected based on the crease depth at which they keep their bat at the non-striker’s end. No need of wicketkeepers.”

However, Ashwin’s wife came to his rescue and wrote, “This is for you, sir,” with a tweet which also enlightened the fans with procedures which needs to be done in order to get admission in Ashwin Academy. Meanwhile, Ashwin couldn’t resist his laughter and took to his Twitter handle to express his emotions.

Meanwhile, the offie has now signed a deal with Nottinghamshire and will e playing for them in the 2nd half of the county season. Ashwin has been roped in by Notts as an overseas player after James Pattinson sustained an injury and was ruled out of the rest of the season, As per reports, Ashwin is expected to appear in 6 of their final 7 red ball matches.
