When it comes to praising someone, India off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin more often than not gets the top slot. On Friday again, one of the bowlers impressed Ashwin and he was none other than Mohammad Amir, who in the first ODI against Australia, had Steven Smith’s men in a spot of bother. He swung the ball well but batsmen were lucky to miss the edges. Ashwin though was flattened by his bowling performance as he wrote –
What a spell this is by Amir, missed the edge so many times during the test series, been one hec of a spell this morning.

Amir was lethal in the first spell of the game where he bowled four overs at cost of just 10 runs, gathering two crucial wickets as well. The number of wickets in the respective column could have been higher but luck was not on his side.
He was later introduced in the middle and later overs and then went for runs but it was his first spell that just grabbed the attention as watching a pacer bowling like this is an absolute dream in today’s world.
Despite having a great start with the ball, Pakistan lost the game by 92 runs in pursuit of 269 runs.
