Premier Test spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has sustained a minor injury during the three-day practice game against Essex ahead of the five-match Test series against England.
As a result, Ashwin didn’t take the field on the second day of the warm-up game. Ashwin was hit on the right hand during a net session this morning. To avoid any further damage, Ravichandran Ashwin decided not to take any part on the second day.
