India’s fielding coach R Sridhar believes Ravindra Jadeja is the best Indian fielder in the last decade. Jadeja is one of the quickest players on the field and he always has a safe pair of hands. Furthermore, Jadeja has a rocket arm and his throws are generally right on the money.

Jadeja also has the knack of hitting the stumps directly and hardly lets any run-out opportunities go away. In fact, it is well known that Jadeja is not only the best Indian fielder but also he is one of the best in the world.

R Sridhar said while talking to Cricbuzz, “Jaddu’s presence on the field lifts the team’s spirits. He is someone who can keep the opposition on their toes with his fielding. He has an intimidating presence on the field. I wouldn’t like to go very far but in the last decade or so Jadeja has been the best fielder India has had”.

Meanwhile, Ravindra Jadeja has also taken giant strides in his batting. Jadeja has become more consistent with the bat and the results are palpable.

The left-hander had played a fine knock in the World Cup semifinal against New Zealand but could not take India all the way. Jadeja has delivered the goods with the bat and he has always been accurate with the ball too.

On the other hand, R Sridhar also named the four best fielders in the world. Along with Jadeja, Sridhar believes Martin Guptill, Glenn Maxwell and Virat Kohli are the best fielders in the world.

Sridhar said, “Jadeja, Martin Guptill, Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell – these four come to my mind. These players can be placed at the infield or in the outfield as they possess high levels of athleticism”.

Ravindra Jadeja will look to continue his good form going and he has also earned back his place in the ODI side.

India will next play Bangladesh in the three-match T20I series. The first T20I will take place at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on 3rd November.
