Steven Smith and David Warner will be seen in action once again, this time in grade cricket. The duo will mentor the promising youngsters apart from making their mark as experienced campaigners. A massive crowd is expected at Coogee Oval and Glenn McGrath Oval this weekend.
Explosive opener David Warner will turn out for Randwick-Petersham at Coogee. He will be facing St George which features pacer Josh Hazlewood.

On the other hand, Smith will play alongside former Aussie all-rounder, Shane Watson for Sutherland. They will play against Mosman at Glenn McGrath Oval. Smith and Warner last featured for Australia back in the series against South Africa.
However, they got banned from playing international cricket for 12 months after being found guilty of ball-tampering.
Steven Smith, the former skipper, said he would look to pass on the knowledge he carries. The right-hand batsman played in the CPL and was even seen rolling his arms.
“Hopefully I can teach some of the young guys the game, help them learn,” Smith said in a video published by the Australian Cricketers’ Association.

“If I can pass on any information to these young guys coming through and help them turn into better players, I’ll do that. We want to see Australian cricket strong, and it starts at this level. The more older heads there are around to come and help out, the better.” he added.

The duo won’t be able to play in the Big Bash as well. The ban will be lifted on March 28 ahead of the 2019 World Cup. Former legendary cricketer Steve Waugh will be there to watch Smith’s side in action as his son Austin will play alongside Smith at Glenn McGrath Oval.
“I don’t want to comment particularly on Austin, but it’ll be a great experience for all young players involved,” Steve Waugh told AAP.
