Bhuvneshwar Kumar – It was a big day for ODI cricket at it was the 3700th match in the history of ODI cricket. On a holy day, the South African team and Bhuvneshwar Kumar went on to tumble number of records. It was the decider of the one-day series between India and South Africa which was played at Wankhede stadium on 25 October 2015. The South African team batted first and taught Indian bowlers a harsh lesson.

Their batsmen went to post a gigantic total of 438 runs on the board. Three of their batsmen scored a century with DE Villiers doing the maximum damage. He scored runs at the strike rate of 195.08. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mohit Sharma were his main targets as he scored runs at a fast pace especially against these two bowlers. During the course, Bhuvneshwar went on to earn a record which he will surely like to rub off from his jersey. He went onto leak 106 runs in his quota of 10 overs breaking the previous Indian record of R. Vinay Kumar who gave away 102 runs against Australia. Indian team failed to chase down such a huge total and lost the match and the series by a margin of 3-2.
