First Australian Player to smash a century on ODI debutRemembering Philip Joel Hughes and Some Highlights of His Career 2

Hughes became the first Australian player to score a century on ODI debut with a well composed 112 of 129 deliveries against Sri Lanka. He opened the innings with Aaron Finch and stroked his way to his maiden ODI ton. He added a 140 run stand for the 3rrd wicket with then skipper George Bailey as Australia completed a comfortable victory. His 2nd match winning knock came in the 5th match of the series when the southpaw made 138 of 154 deliveries.
