As the window for the IPL franchises to retain players for the VIVO IPL 2017 season closed on December 15th, 2016 the IPL teams retained their big guns in an effort to lift the trophy in 2017. A total number of 140 cricketers including 44 overseas players have been retained by the VIVO IPL franchises for the 2017 season. Royal Challengers Bangalore was the team that retained the highest number which is 28. So here is the list of players retained by the respective franchises of the VIVO IPL:
