Revealed: Why C.M. of Bengal agreed to host India vs Pakistan T20I?

This news is the biggest headline of the year and can be the biggest controversy in the history of cricket. According to our sources, it is learnt that the recently retired cricketer turned politician Laxmi Ratan Shukla is all set to make his T20I debut in the match against Pakistan on March 19. Yes, hold your breath you read that correct that Laxmi Ratan Shukla is all set to make his debut in T20I. He will replace Ashish Nehra in playing XI. But why?
Because Shukla still remembers the controversial test match in which Ashish Nehra was favoured over him. Though his name flashed on the electronic board on the ground but he was not the part of the playing XI squad. And this time, Nehra’s name will flash on the electronic board but Laxmi Ratan Shukla who will take field instead of him.

According to our sources when Pakistani team disagreed to play the match at Dharamsala then tensed Shashank Manohar called the president of Cricket Association of Bengal Sourav Ganguly for help. Then Ganguly arranged a secret meeting between Manohar and C.M. of West Bengal Mamta Banerjee.

In the secret meeting, C.M. agreed upon the request to host the match at Eden garden but she stated her terms in front of BCCI president. The first one was the debut for Laxmi Ratan Shukla in the T20 match against Pakistan and the second condition was the inclusion of Manoj Tiwary and Ashok Dinda in the next international tour. Manohar agreed upon the second condition but was reluctant to accept the first. The C.M. straightaway made it clear that she wants her first condition to be fulfilled at any cost. So finally, BCCI president agreed upon the first condition and also promised her that he will try to include a player from Bengal in the Rest of India squad for Irani Cup.

Sudeep Chatterjee the Ranji trophy player from Bengal was selected for Rest of India squad and also played the match. but still C.M. did not agree as now she wanted a written apology from Gautam Gambhir who threatened to hit Manoj Tiwary during a Ranji trophy match last year. Shashank was stunned by this request and he finally called the president of India and expressed his concern in front of him. So finally, C.M. has to obey the order of President Pranab Mukherjee and has to agree upon her first condition only.

Still the news of inclusion of Shukla in the squad is not known to players and public as this may lead to an outrage in the country. But C.M. had made full plans to take revenge of Shukla as she has specially invited the family of Nehra to watch the match. And we have already told you that what will happen.
But why C.M. of West Bengal is doing all this. This is mainly due to two reasons-

1. The first reason is Laxmi Ratan Shukla is all set to contest assembly elections next month. So if he makes his debut here at his home ground at the biggest stage then surely he will gain more popularity which will finally benefit his party T.M.C. It is also heard that if T.M.C. gains majority than Laxmi Ratan Shukla will be swear din as the deputy C.M. of West Bengal, thus making him the second cricketer to hold this post. The first one is Tejashwi Yadav who is currently deputy C.M. of Bihar.

2. The second reason is that Laxmi Ratan Shukla has still not forgiven Ashish Nehra. He is still burning from inside as he could not fulfil his dream to play test cricket for his country. Shukla still remembers the date which turned out to be a black day for him. He still counts the day when he was denied an opportunity to make debut in test cricket. Whenever someone asks him about that day he always replies in SRK style that “The incident occurred 17 years, 5 months, 10 days, 5 hours and 20 seconds ago”.
This is a secret controversy planned by him and C.M. to teach a lesson to Nehra.
