The Australian domestic circuit has recently given rise to two vacancies for coaching jobs of two big teams. Trevor Bayliss who left to England as a coach of the national team has left the New South Wales team and also the Sydney Sixers team in the BBL without a coach.
But the success that Ricky Ponting had in the IPL taking Mumbai to their second IPL title has given rise to speculations that Ponting will now coach the domestic circuit in Australia. Ponting when asked about the offer said that he will never be able to say no to those offers added that just a few wins in the IPL have given him the status.
Ponting who did say earlier that he enjoyed being a coach for the Mumbai Indians said that thought he was happy with coaching in the IPL, that it did not satisfy him enough to leave the commitment he has with the Sky Sports for the Ashes and the Ten network for the BBL for either of the jobs.
Also adding to this is the fact that he has moved with his family to Melbourne and is now settled and Ponting who extended his contract with the Ten network for the BBL until the 16-17 season will surely be available and will be committed to them and that Ponting is keen to continue commentary irrespective of his contract.
