India’s Sachin Tendulkar is the most successful batsman in the World Cups with 2278 runs in 44 matches at an average of 57 in the six World Cups he played from 1992 till 2011. He has also scored 6 centuries, the most number of hundreds in the tournaments. He won the tournament in 2011 and won the Player of the Tournament in 2003 edition.
