2) Rishabh Pant

The wicketkeeper-batsman has already lost his place from the shorter formats after KL Rahul took over his job.
Unfortunately, Rishabh Pant sustained an injury in the ODI series against Australia. He was rested for one ODI which allowed KL Rahul to don the gloves.
Rahul went on to impress with his performance not only with the bat but also with wicketkeeping. Since then, Pant is dropped from the playing XI in the shorter formats.
The Indian management will back KL Rahul as wicketkeeper-batsman, which would further limit opportunities for Pant. So, it will difficult to break for him in the playing XI.
