India’s limited-overs vice-captain Rohit Sharma has wished for Suresh Raina’s comeback in the national team. Raina has not played for India since 2018 though the middle-order batsman has always shown his eagerness to again don the blue jersey.
Raina is an attacking batsman who has more often helped the team while opting for the big shots. He has the ability to handle the pressure whenever the Indian team loses the top-order batsmen.
The 33-year-old was dropped from the team because of his degrading performance. Also, he went under knee surgery because of which he was unavailable last year.

In the live session, Rohit Sharma inquired with the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) player how he spent his time after he was dropped from the team. In reply, Raina gave him a detailed answer, saying that he worked on his fitness so that he can again play for India.
“I was correcting myself, I regained fitness after a knee injury and in the process, I also passed the yo-yo” test. I put in a lot of hard work to get into the team, big players always supported me during my bad phase and I still have cricket left in me,” Raina.

Team India opener said that Raina should be in the Indian team. He revealed that in team meetings, they discussed bringing the CSK player back but the selection was not in their hand.
Rohit said, “We always talk about bringing you (Raina) back into the team but team selection is not in our hands and we should always keep doing the hard work.”
Suresh Raina last played a competitive match during the final of the last edition of the IPL. He was ready to entertain fans in this year’s edition but unfortunately, the league has been postponed indefinitely. The lucrative league was the big opportunity for Raina to showcase his talent and make a comeback in international cricket.
