Rohit Sharma Congratulates Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Nupur Nagar After the Couple Tie the Knot

After producing a Man of the Match winning performance in the opening test against Sri Lanka at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, Team India speedster Bhuvneshwar Kumar tied the knot with his fiancée Nupur Nagar on Thursday. It was the same day when another Indian fast bowler albeit a former one, Zaheer Khan also tied the knot with Chakde India famed actress Sagarika Ghatge. It seems like a season of weddings for the cricketers.

Bhuvneshwar will play no further part in the series against Sri Lanka. While the 2nd Test has started today, the 3rd Test is scheduled to begin from 2nd December. The wedding ceremony of Bhuvneshwar and Nupur will be followed by a reception in Nupur’s hometown Bulandshahr on 26th November. The couple will also host a reception on November 30 where all the Team India members who will be part of the team for the 3rd Test in New Delhi are expected to be present.

Meanwhile, his teammate Rohit Sharma wished him a very happy married life. Taking to his twitter handle, Rohit shared a picture of Bhuvi and Nupur and wrote that indeed the fast bowlers are having a good time off the field as it was Zaheer Khan who tied the knot in court earlier in the day. “Ek din mai do shikaar fast bowlers are having good day off the field. Congrats @BhuviOfficial and Nupur. God bless!” Rohit said.

The Indian limited overs opener also wished former Indian pacer Zaheer Khan a happy married life with Sagarika Ghatge. “And the last man from the group is down. Welcome to the other side of the world, Zak. Wish you both a blissful marriage @ImZaheer @sagarikavghatge,” Rohit wrote.

Meanwhile, Bhuvneshwar Kumar will be looking forward to spending some quality time with his wife before the limited overs series against Sri Lanka gets underway. Bhuvneshwar might well prove to be a lethal option for India once they tour South Africa early next year. The Test series against the Proteas is scheduled to begin from 5th January.
