Rohit Sharma Names The Bowler From The Past Whom He Want To Face

Team India’s lynchpin Rohit Sharma has remarkably faced every pacer and spinner of the modern era. He is known to read the bowlers’ instincts faster than any other batsman. This speciality has helped him to build long innings. But there is one bowler whom the hitman wants to face one time in his career.

Rohit Sharma, in the recent interaction, has revealed that he wants to face the former Australian pacer, Glenn McGrath. His statement came after a fan asked him to pick one bowler from the past whom Rohit would like to face.

In a video message on Twitter, Rohit answered: “I would like to face Glenn McGrath.”

Glenn McGrath is one of the best pacers of Australia’s cricket history. Although he was not the quickest bowler, his weapon was his accurate line and length. He scalped a staggering tally of 563 Test wickets in 124 matches. The tall and lanky pacer has also snared 381 wickets in 250 ODIs. He ended his 14 year’s long career in 2007 after playing the World Cup.

Rohit Sharma is the second-highest scorer in T20I, amassing 2773 runs in 108 matches. He also created history after scoring five centuries in World Cup 2019.

The right-hand batsman became the first cricketer to score five hundred before him, Kumar Sangakkara had scored four centuries in a single edition of the mega event.

The Mumbaikar has scored 9115 runs in 224 ODIs. He has also three-double tons in the 50-over format and he is the only batsman to achieve this feat.

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma will be joining the Mumbai Indians in the upcoming Indian Premier League 2020 in UAE. He is the most successful captain of the league, leading MI to four title wins.

In the last edition, MI defeated CSK by one run to clinch the fourth title. As after an extended break, the fans will be waiting to witness Rohit’s masterpiece later this year.
