India’s limited-over opener and Mumbai Indians skipper, Rohit Sharma has received a fitting gift on his 29th birthday as he inked a new endorsement deal with famous Swiss watch maker Hublot.

The stylish Mumbaikar is obviously delighted to receive the Classic Fusion Aerofucion Chronograph 2016 ICC World Twenty20 cricket watch from Hublot.

Rohit said, “I have always been a watch fanatic; so being associated with a brand like Hublot is an absolute delight,” on his brand new association with the Swiss brand, according to a media release.

A spectacular batsman to watch when in full flow, Rohit Sharma comes with the distinction of having scored a double century in one-day international cricket twice. Rohit has certainly done a lot to have earned plenty of plaudits in the past few years.

However, despite sparks of brilliance in the shorter formats of the game, his spot in the Test squad is always up for grabs. Sharma has also proved his credentials as a captain, having guided Mumbai Indians to the IPL title in 2013 and 2015.

He had to wait until November 2013 to finally make his Test debut. And when the opportunity finally came around he made it count as he struck 177 on debut at Eden Gardens, a ground he has come to love batting on and help India destroy West Indies by an innings. However, despite that glorious century on debut, he has only played 15 more in over two and a half years, which is certainly something he would want to change.

The Mumbai Indians captain happens to be the 7th richest cricketer in the world currently as he owns 6 million USD from his salary and endorsements.

He turned 29 on Saturday and celebrated the special day with his wife and teammates from Mumbai Indians.
Last February, Japanese car manufacturer Nissan named Indian Rohit Sharma as their new global ambassador.
