IPL 2020: Rohit Sharma Travels With His Wife And Daughter To The UAE

Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma is travelling with his wife Ritika Sajdeh and his one year daughter Samira to the UAE for the IPL 2020, scheduled to begin from 19th September. As of now, Rohit is the first cricketer to travel with his family to Dubai for an almost two-month-long tournament.

As per BCCI’s Standard Operating Procedure, the board has allowed the families to travel with the player for the much-awaited edition. However, the end decision lies in the hand of the franchise. So far, Kings XI Punjab, Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders player have landed in the UAE but without their family members.

Taking to Instagram, Mumbai Indians on their official account shared the picture of Rohit Sharma’s family as they arrive at the airport. Rohit and his wife Ritika were seen wearing full PPE kit while Samira was with them without any safety gear. The franchise captioned the post ‘All-set for Samaira’s second’

Rohit Sharma set to lead MI for fifth IPL title win:

Last year, Rohit’s daughter was with him during the whole tournament as he leads the team to their fourth IPL title win. In the IPL 2019 grand-finale, Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings faced off each other. Rohit Sharma-led side won that marquee clash in a dramatic way. MI veteran fast bowler Lasith Malinga bowled an outstanding last over as CSK lost the match by just one run.

This time fans are expecting the high-intense opening match of IPL 2020 between the two successful teams of the tournament, MI and CSK.

The league is set to start on 19th September. 60 games will be played around 53 days in three venues-Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah. The grand finale will be played on 10th November.

Meanwhile, CSK and RCB will also land on Friday (21st August). All the teams would go under the quarantine period before starting their practice sessions ahead of the commencement of the league.
